The Utah College Health Association is proud to host the 2008 PCCHA Conference in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The theme for the conference will echo the theme of 2002 Winter Olympics “Light the Fire Within” This theme reflects the uniqueness of our state in promoting wellness and health. The Wasatch Front has a plethora of outdoor activities to promote wellness; from mountain climbing, mountain biking trails, skiing, and beautiful gardens to walk through, October is a beautiful time to be in Utah.

The PCCHA annual meeting will be held in the historic Fort Douglas Section of the University of Utah Campus, in Salt Lake City, Utah. The conference is within walking distance of the Olympic Village, Legacy Bridge, and the Olympic Cauldron Park.

Downtown Salt Lake City hosts a variety of sites including Temple Square and the Gateway Shopping Mall which overlooks the Olympic Legacy Plaza. Transportation to downtown Salt Lake City will be provided on TRAX, Salt Lake City’s light rail system, included in your registration to the conference.

The conference will have a wide range of topics of interest to college health professionals, which will be presented by your colleagues and invited speakers. The conference will begin with an Opening Gala on Wednesday, October 22nd at 5:30pm and come to an end on Saturday, October 25th at noon.

Events will include: A welcome reception which will include a Happy Hour with brews from local brewers, dinner and Keynote speaker; a tour of the Olympic Cauldron Park; and evening Dine-Around in Park City, Utah with extra time to explore the unique shops on Main Street; a tour of the exhibitors; and drawing of prizes.
